Dr. Mike Jeong, medical director of the skilled nursing facility at Las Ventanas retirement community, was named one of 11 Health Care Headliners for 2009 by In Business Las Vegas. The honorees were chosen based on the important impacts they’ve made on the Southern Nevada health care industry. Dr. Jeong swept the “Physician” category based on his contributions to geriatric medicine and the medical care of residents and patients at Las Ventanas. He assists in developing and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines pertinent to patient care to ensure they receive high-quality and comprehensive services. Working with the elderly has allowed Dr. Jeong to educate his patients and their families/caregivers about how to live with chronic illnesses or disabilities and access to appropriate medical care and rehabilitative and support services available at Las Ventanas.
